Legal Experts: Tool-Supported Scenario

Welcome! πŸ‘‹

We are conducting a paid survey with legal professionals and experienced practitioners. The goal is to collect real-world legal scenarios that will help train AI models to handle complex legal advisory situations.

The research objective is to help AI understand real legal situations, including jurisdiction constraints, procedural rules, and the hidden details that change a case's outcome entirely.

πŸ”§ Tool use is required β€” This survey exclusively accepts scenarios where a helpful AI assistant would actively use tools. Submissions describing purely conversational scenarios (no tools) will be rejected.

What counts as a tool: β€’ Files & documents β€” reading contracts, court filings, regulatory notices, leases, or insurance policies shared by the client β€’ Legal research β€” looking up case law, statutes, or regulation databases β€’ Deadline & date calculator β€” computing statute of limitations, filing windows, or response periods β€’ Document comparison β€” redlining contracts or comparing versions of an agreement β€’ Calendar & scheduling β€” tracking court dates, filing deadlines, or client meetings β€’ Email & messaging β€” drafting or reviewing client communications β€’ Payments & billing β€” retainer tracking or invoices

πŸ‘€ Who can participate β€’ Licensed attorneys, solicitors, barristers β€’ Paralegals and legal assistants β€’ Law students (enrolled or recently graduated) β€’ Compliance and regulatory officers β€’ Other legal professionals (judges, mediators, legal academics, in-house counsel) β€’ Experienced laypersons who have personally navigated a significant legal situation

βœ… Validation Process Automatically rejected: Generic responses, use of AI, inconsistent jurisdiction/area of law, made-up cases without real legal knowledge.

The use of AI is not permitted. Generic or superficial responses will be rejected. Your story must reflect real legal expertise and knowledge of how the described jurisdiction's law actually works.

Required for success: tool use in your submission’s case resolution (documents, spreadsheets, images, calculators, schedulers, emails, etc.) that corroborate the scenario described. Submissions accompanied by real evidence are significantly more likely to be approved. The upload field is available in the form.

Approval criteria: Coherent fields and story, real jurisdiction-specific legal detail, at least 3 concrete legal constraints, and a clear hidden fact that changes the analysis.

πŸ’° Compensation: $15 USD per approved submission.

⏱️ Expected time: ~40 minutes per submission.

πŸ”’ Maximum number of responses: Up to 5 valid and varied submissions per participant. Each submission must describe a different case. Submit promptly β€” slots fill quickly.

Remember: The use of AI is not permitted.
